CANCELLED: Seminar – Learn About Protecting Human Subjects in Research
This seminar is designed for faculty, staff, and student researchers planning to submit proposals to the Human Subjects Research Office (HSRO).
The session will provide general information about:
• Identifying when an activity is research with human subjects
• How the review process unfolds and how to develop materials for review
• Training requirements using the CITI Program
• Brief discussion of special topics including advising students, collaborative research, and the informed consent process
Attendees will leave with an understanding of the regulatory requirements and the ethical principles guiding research with humans as well as practical information to develop and submit an application.
Three identical sessions will be offered at different times, please pick one to attend and indicate the session number when you RSVP.
