Event Image

Jennifer Treuting is a two-time Emmy-nominated creative director, writer, and producer specializing in storytelling for kids and families. She’s led short-form original content, marketing campaigns, and brand creative for Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and Noggin—shaping the preschool brand voice across broadcast, YouTube, and interactive platforms.

Additionally, she’s created and produced several projects as co-founder of Squirrel Friends, a children’s media collective, including What’s Inside?, a stop-motion interstitial series for TVO and Prix Jeunesse interstitial prize finalist, and Mo’s Bows, a short documentary which has screened at over 30 film festivals around the world, including its world premiere at TIFF Kids.

Jennifer offers students a behind-the-scenes look at how stories are developed, pitched, and produced across platforms—from television to interactive experiences. She draws on her industry experience to demystify the creative process and help emerging writers, producers, and media makers build adaptable, purpose-driven careers in a rapidly changing landscape. She mentors early-career creatives as they navigate short-form formats, indie production pipelines, and emerging interactive spaces.
