Ceramics Visiting Artist Demos and Talk
RIT Ceramics is welcoming a pair of visiting artists, Rebecca Chappell and Sam Chung, for a series of demos and a lecture on Oct. 9 and 10. All of the events are open to all.Demos (in the Ceramics studio; Booth Hall, room 2630)• Wednesday, Oct. 9: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.• Thursday, Oct. 10: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.Lecture (in Wegmans Theater; MAGIC Spell Studios, room 2180)• Wednesday, Oct. 9: 4 p.m.Chappell has exhibited her work across the U.S. and maintains a studio in Philadelphia, Pa. Chung, meanwhile, is a ceramic artist and educator who creates pottery that reframes historical ceramics from a contemporary, cross-cultural perspective. His work has been exhibited in venues all over the world, including in Australia and Denmark.
