Join us for: A Roadmap for Multidisciplinary Prototyping of DTx Games: A Case Study on an Emotion Awareness Game.

This presentation details the 1-year development, testing, and deployment of an RIT cross-college collaboration (CHST, Magic, COLA) to rapidly build and test narrative games that target mental health skills. Over a year, the team developed 4 minigames and narratives (approx. 2 hours of gameplay) and launched a series of national and local trials (n = 400) that found that exposure to these games were associated with emotion awareness skills similar to exposure to psychoeducational materials used in therapeutic settings (e.g., pamphlets, control condition). This project serves as proof of concept for an evidence-based framework for developing and testing DTx games at RIT.

*A Zoom link will be provided for those unable to attend the seminar in-person.
