"Genealogy of the Techbro"

Dr. CHARLES PETERSEN is a postdoctoral fellow in the Cornell History Department and the Cornell Society of Fellows. He received his PhD in American Studies from Harvard University in 2020. He teaches and writes about the history of the United States in the twentieth century. His current research is on the history of meritocracy, with a focus on Silicon Valley.

The event is organized by the CLA Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts, the Department of History, the Department of Science, Technology, and Society, students in HIST-180 (Information Revolution, Dr. Corinna Schlombs), AdvanceRIT, and Campus Life - Women and Gender.
