Jennifer Foley will discuss the role of interpretation in audience engagement for art exhibitions, from the experience of interactive works of art to co-created community labels, and how museums’ relationships with their visitors have been changing over the last decade.
JENNIFER FOLEY is the Deputy Director for Collections and Engagement at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Before joining the O’Keeffe, she held positions with a number of art museums, including Director of Education and Community Engagement at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo and Director of Interpretation at the Cleveland Museum of Art. She holds a PhD in art history from Cornell University and is a founding member of the Association for Art Museum Interpretation.
