"IN COLLABORATION" is a juried exhibition that asks artists to consider who or what their collaborators are, and write an artist statement that elaborates on the way it occurs within their practice.

More about "IN COLLABORATION"

When we conceptualize what it means to collaborate, we think of working together, in conjunction and jointly with another. Jewelers and metalsmiths do this inherently. We create adornment and objects that work in tandem with the body. We wear the jewelry or we interact physically with the forged spoon or raised cup. However, as jewelers and metalsmiths in the 21st century, we not only collaborate with the body but also with other human beings, animals, tools, machines, materials, time, and places to name a few.
