Event Image
There is a book of Deaf Republic by Ilya Kaminsky with an image of brick ear and black/white background.

Join librarian Katie for the Big Read: NTID book discussion, Deaf Republic, by Ilya Kaminsky as part of the NEA Big Read. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the BML Circulation Desk. “Deaf Republic opens in an occupied country during political unrest. When soldiers breaking up a protest kill a deaf boy, Petya, the gunshot becomes the last thing the citizens hear--they all have gone deaf, and their dissent becomes coordinated by sign language.” –OCLC Review
