Destress, Feel Good, Make Good at the WGSS Action Lab

Join us to pursue small meaningful projects that will benefit local underserved and reentry populations.
Beginning September 17, every Wednesday during Fall semester, the WGSS Action Lab will be in the COLA Student Lounge in Liberal Arts Hall (LBR-2233).
- Crochet lessons for anyone that wishes to make children's scarves. The finished products are donated to Crestwood Children's Center, especially for the children in residential foster care.
- Create holiday card art for Crestwood, and St. Peter's kitchen in Rochester, New York. They serve free meals daily for anyone that wishes to have a hot meal.
- Organize a sock and glove drive as well as a clothing drive for the Center for Youth as they serve many young persons that need support, including LGBTQ services.
- Do paper arts, zentangles creations. Come and relax especially if you like to doodle.
- Participate in a canned food drive for families served in the Genesee and Avenue D corridor.
- Poetry reading, poetry and prose writing, and spirited words for an online ezine that offers hope, encouragement and enlightenment. Publication will be online, use your name or a pen name.
