Documentary film screening - Harlan County USA (1976)

Join us in for a screening in the new MSS-2180 Wegman's Theater to see  Barbara Kopple’s 1976 Academy Award winning Best Documentary film, Harlan County USA, about a coal miner strike in eastern Kentucky. The film, the last in the Documentary Series run through RIT’s Center for Engaged Storycraft, will begin Thursday evening @7:30pm in Magic Spells Studio 2180 in the Wegmans Theater followed by discussion moderated by photojournalist and professor Josh Meltzer afterwards. Pizza and drinks prior to the movie, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Here’s a trailer, if you want a preview.
