About the artists
Jennifer Schoonmaker explores ideas that are both meticulously planned and playfully absurd. Modified industrial objects, recycled furniture, and unexpected material allusions all serve as conduits for literal and metaphorical transformation. Schoonmaker is currently Visiting Lecturer in the College of Art and Design at RIT, and previously taught courses at SUNY New Paltz.
Christina Leung combines fabricated and found objects to interrogate what seems functional, ornamental, or purposeful, opening up the possibility for new thoughts and conversation. Leung is currently Visiting Assistant Professor in the College of Art and Design at RIT, and was previously instructor at Ithaca College, and a former White Columns curatorial assistant.
