RIT’s Glass program is hosting Judith Schaechter and Glenn Carter as part of its Visiting Artist Lecture Series. The artists are holding talks and a discussion starting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in Booth Hall, room 3634. The event is free and open to all.

Schaechter is an artist recognized for her long career in translating the traditions of the stained glass window as a medium of contemporary art. Carter, meanwhile, has been working with architectural glass in both restorative and artistic capacities for the last 30 years, in addition to maintaining an independent casting and fusing studio practice.

Their presentations are based on the Glass program’s semester theme of hunger.

Schaechter’s work is also featured in a new exhibition at Memorial Art Gallery.
