The Harriet Tubman Bicentennial Celebration: Her Legacy Continues

The Frederick and Anna Murray Douglass Lecture Series, hosted by the Department of History and the Museum Studies Program, in partnership with the Harriet Tubman Bicentennial Celebration will feature a talk by Rita Daniels, “Harriet Tubman: Her Legacy Continues.” Daniels is a descendant of Tubman and founder of the Harriet Tubman Learning Center in Powder Springs, GA, which promotes youth literacy.

NITD Visiting Lecturer Bakar Ali, member of the World Around You (WAY) international literacy project for deaf and hard of hearing children, will provide comments.
