Honey Tasting with RIT Beekeeping and Pi Kappa Phi
Beekeeping Club & Pi Kappa Phi Presents:
Honey Tasting Hour
Want to learn why honey looks and tastes different? The RIT beekeeping club is hosting a free event with Pi Kappa Phi to explore the way flowers and processing leads honey to taste different, appear different, and have different properties (like viscosity and sugar level).
The RIT Beekeeping club is collaborating with Pi Kappa Phi to lead students in tasting different types of honey. We’ll be exploring how the seasons, flower type, and additives change the flavor, color, and viscosity of the honey. There will be fruits, vegetables, cheeses, apple cider, and water served with the honey.
The event is free and open to the public. ASL interpreters have been requested.
