Inclusive Excellence
Special Film Screening: Forgotten Genius. Celebrating Black excellence in the sciences and beyond.
With light dinner and discussion prompts
In celebration of Black History Month, The College of Science invites you to join us to learn about the life and work of Dr. Percy Julian, a great American chemist and civil rights pioneer. The Film Screening will take place on February 8, 2023 from 5-7 PM in the Fireside Lounge. Closed captioning and a light dinner will be provided. Dr. Percy Julian was a man of genius, devotion, and determination. He was also the grandson of enslaved people from Alabama and lived in a deeply racist and segregated America. Watch the documentary as it describes how Dr. Julian overcame great challenges to become a world-class scientist and self-made millionaire.
