Lecture: 'Youth Mental Health First Aid'
RIT's Visual Arts-All Grades (MST in art education) program is presenting a lecture by Mark Fish, Fairport Central School District counselor. It is set for 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Booth Hall, room 3565. The event is free and open to the public. Fish will educate attendees on common mental health challenges for youth and a five-step action plan to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics that will be covered include the prevalence of mental health disorders, recognizing symptoms of mental health and the spectrum of interventions that are available for support.
