Abstract:
Wine grapes are tricky to grow well to produce good wine. The combination of soil, topography, climate, and culture (among other factors) that contribute to good wine production is regionally described as an area's Terroir. Climate change is affecting the terroir of wine regions differently, and we explore these issues and proposed solutions in the study abroad course Flood Hydrology and Wine Ecology (ENVS-389/HSPT 489). Come learn about the issues facing the vineyards of the Finger Lakes and Franconia.
