Love's Fire

What happens when you give seven popular playwrights each a Sonnet and tell them to make a new play out of it? The Acting Company of New York City asked this question for their 25th Anniversary Season and Love's Fire was the resulting answer. As distinctive as the playwrights themselves, these seven one-acts range from black comedy to musical monologue to epic Greek drama. With contributing writers like Tony Kushner and Wendy Wasserstein, Love's Fire proves that Shakespeare is still an inspiring, relevant, and creative force in the world today. Presented by the College of Liberal Arts in conjunction with RIT Celebrates Shakespeare, Love's Fire performs November 10-13 in LBJ-1510. Admission is free.
