Medical Illustration Club Lecture: Francine Mary Netter

RIT's Medical Illustration club is hosting a talk by Francine Mary Netter, author of her father's biography, Medicine's Michelangelo: The Life & Art of Frank H. Netter, MD. Frank Netter is among the most famous medical illustrators of the 20th century.

The Zoom lecture is scheduled for 4-5 p.m. (EST) on Sunday, March 28 and can be accessed here.

In the biography, Francine uses a selection of her father's medical illustrations and non-medical paintings — some never before published — to tell his remarkable story. She gives a contextual and historical basis for his vanguard work and presents a personal introduction to the man behind the paintings.

Francine's presentation, "Teaching Medicine with a Sable Brush," will be followed by a Q-and-A.
