Men's Lacrosse to host second and third round NCAA Tournament games

RIT will host either Albion or Dubuque in the second round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament at noon on May 14, as the 38-team field was announced Sunday night.

The defending national champion Tigers will also host MIT and Amherst at 3 p.m. with the winners advancing to Sunday's third-round game at 3 p.m.

Albion and Dubuque square off on May 11 in one of six first-round games around the country.

RIT (17-1) defeated St. Lawrence, 13-5, on Saturday to clinch its 10th consecutive Liberty League Championship and 12th straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Also making the 23rd NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, the Tigers have advanced to the quarterfinals 16 times and the national semifinals on 11 occasions.

RIT will be in the hunt for its fourth national championship game appearance after defeating Salisbury, 15-14, in double overtime to win the 2021 title in Hartford, Conn. The Tigers also finished runner-up in 2013 and 2017.
