MISHA Summer Seminar - Day 2

Event Image
A person carefully handles an illuminated manuscript page decorated with intricate floral borders and medieval-style text. They are standing at a metal workbench with a scanning or imaging device nearby. Visible tattoos and bracelets adorn their hands and arms, and red safety glasses rest on the table below.

The MISHA Summer Seminar (MSS) 2025 is a collaboration between RIT’s Museum Studies Program (College of Liberal Arts) and the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science (College of Science). During this week-long workshop, participants will gain skills in multispectral imaging literacy by learning how to capture and process data from the MISHA (Multispectral Imaging System for Historical Artifacts), a free, open-source, and low barrier-to-entry imaging system developed at RIT through NEH funding led by Drs. Juilee Decker and David Messinger. For more information, see https://www.rit.edu/chipr/misha or email misha@rit.edu.

The MISHA Summer Seminar 2025 is funded by the estate of Catherine Carlson and Peter A Blacksberg RIT'75 Columbia MBA '93.
