Museums, Commerce, Culture: A Talk by Dr. Robert Gordon-Fogelson

Join Dr. Robert Gordon-Fogelson, visiting professor of visual culture and museum studies, for a talk about the central role that museums and other collecting institutions have served in shaping the world around us.

The talk is related to Dr. Gordon-Fogelson’s spring class which will situate the museum at the nexus of culture and commerce, critically examining its participation in the structures of capitalism and colonialism. His course MUSE 244 “Topics in Museum Studies” will meet in the Spring 2023 M/W 11 -12:15.
