NASA Space Apps Challenge

The RIT Center for Media, Arts, Games, Interaction, & Creativity (MAGIC) has been selected as one of 200 sites for the 2016 International NASA Space Apps Challenge taking place on April 23rd and 24th in Student Innovation Hall at RIT. The event is free and open to the public and is "powered by AT&T".The NASA Space Apps Challenge is a 48 hours global hackathon engaging thousands of problem solvers each year across the globe to work with NASA in designing creative solutions to international and interplanetary problems using open source data. The event is not just for coders, but for makers, designers, students, engineers, artists, and problem solvers of all types. If you have a passion for space or out of this world problem solving, then this event is for you.This year there are 25 challenges spread across six different themes: Earth, Space Station, Solar System, Technology, Aeronautics, and Journey to Mars. Within these themes the challenges are broken out by difficulty and range from easy to advanced.
