National Suicide Prevention Week - Candlelight Vigil
Suicide prevention and mental health are hot topics on campuses across the US today, and always. RIT is no different. Please join the campus in supporting our third annual National Suicide Prevention Week. This year’s theme is Connection is Prevention.Effective suicide prevention is layered and requires connection with self, each other, resources, and community. We can all play a role through the power of connection by having real conversations about mental health, sitting with someone new at lunch, reminding someone that they’re great or letting someone know about resources within our community – it only takes one moment to make a connection.Candlelight Vigil: Our campus community has been impacted by losses and continues to grieve these losses. Please join Spirituality and Religious Life, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Health Promotion for a candle light vigil in honor those who have been lost to suicide and to provide support to one another as we process and cope with these impacts. We will gather at 6:30PM at the Allen Chapel for brief reflections followed by candle lighting at the Sentinel statue.
