NSPW: Color Our Connection: A Creative Approach to Suicide Prevention for the Black Community

National Suicide Prevention Week Sept. 7-13, 2025 RIT Mental Health Matters Recognize the signs one Tiger at a time.

If you are a Black identifying student, please join CaPS Therapists Joshua Dentley, LMHC-D, Shantel Richardson, LMHC-D, and Patrice Anderson, LMHC-D in this event for National Suicide Prevention Month.

Discover the power of connection in preventing suicide amongst Black people. This interactive event will explore the causes and impact of suicide within the Black community and emphasize the importance of community and support in prevention. Through open discussion and a creative "paint and pass" activity, participants will build a collective representation of strength, resilience, and hope.

Open to all eligible students regardless of protected category.
