Statistical Process Control (SPC) provides the means for the control of product quality and the reduction of process variation. To be successful you need to know how to collect data, understand the concepts underlying variation, select the appropriate chart for your process, and interpret results. Participants will also learn how to use MINITAB® to create control charts.Topics Include:Variability and randomnessDefinition of “process”Process capabilityCentral Limit TheoremNormal and binomial distributionsSpecial cause and assignable cause variationX and R charts, plus I/MR charts for individual observationsP, np, c and u charts • SPC using MINITAB®
