The inflammatory response characteristic of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) has been identified as a major driver of brain injury, however current work suggests a more nuanced role with both positive and negative outcomes. Dr. O’Banion will promote the “positive” benefits of inflammation with a long-term goal of identifying new therapeutic targets.
