RITSEC’s Information Security Talent Search (ISTS) competition brings together 19 collegiate teams from across the country each spring semester. ISTS is designed and built from the ground up by RIT students who are members of the RITSEC club. This is the 25th year running this competition, and it has a rich history as one of the premier events in the collegiate cyber defense competition space. The “Talent Search” part comes from sponsor companies and alumni who are present at the competition and looking to hire students by observing them in a simulated attack-defend scenario.

Some of the schools competing this year are:

  • University of Central Florida
  • University at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo)
  • University of Maryland, Baltimore County
  • University of New Haven
  • University of Florida
  • Rutgers University
  • University of Virginia
  • University at Albany (SUNY Albany)
  • Pennsylvania State University
  • The Ohio State University
  • Cornell University
  • Virginia Tech
  • Texas A&M University
  • Rochester Institute of Technology

ISTS is taking place later this month, February 27th through March 1st, in the GCI conference rooms and Cyber Range.
