Into the ROC: Wild Hill Farm Tour & Volunteering

Join Into the ROC and RIT Sustainability as we take a tour and volunteer at Wild Hill Farm, a woman-owned regenerative farm in the greater community. Learn about the many ways that Wild Hill Farm is practicing sustainability and how small, local farms are an integral part of Rochester's foodscape. After the tour, we will be volunteering to prepare the fields and plant seedlings. Let's go to the farm!

The bus will leave the Sentinel Statue promptly at 10:30 a.m. Please dress accordingly for unpredictable spring weather -- closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a rain jacket are highly encouraged. Please also bring a water bottle. In the event of light rain or wind, we will be going on the program as usual. If there are high wind warnings, heavy rains, or thunder and lightning predictions for the day of the program, we will be in direct communication about cancellation/program changes. Please keep an eye out!

About Wild Hill Farm
Nestled halfway between Rochester and the Finger Lakes Region, Wild Hill Farm is located on fifty gorgeous acres of prime farmland, all managed completely without chemicals, pesticides, or GMOs. Wild Hill Farm (a total of 128 acres of woods and fields) has been permanently protected from development through a conservation easement with the Genesee Land Trust. Our mission is to nourish and strengthen our community, to responsibly steward the land, and to help build a new agrarian movement aimed toward re-connection and healing.
