RPO at RIT - Marimba Band

RPO at RIT

The RPO Marimba Band was established in 1979 and is comprised of members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra’s current percussion section. The RPO Marimba Band performs their own arrangements of Latin, pop, and jazz tunes on a wide array of melodic percussion instruments such as marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, steel drum, and drum set. Since their formation, the RPO Marimba Band has performed in venues throughout Western New York.

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Marimba band will play a 45 minute concert in the SHED Atrium on Thursday, February 27 at 5:30pm. The Marimba Band is comprised of Brian Stotz, leader, Kyle Peters, Kristen Shiner McGuire, Anthony Calabrese, Tom Nanni, and Andy Lauler. 

This event is free and open to all.
