Supporting Neurodivergent Students in the Classroom (Virtual Workshop)

Join AdvanceRIT and the Spectrum Support Program (SSP) for an interactive virtual
workshop designed to help RIT faculty better understand and support neurodivergent
students in classroom settings.
The session will be led by Kendra Evans, the Director of the Spectrum Support Program,
which provides comprehensive services to help neurodivergent students thrive at RIT
through academic coaching, social engagement, and career readiness support.

This program is open to all RIT faculty who want to:

  • Better understand the experiences of neurodivergent students
  • Learn inclusive teaching strategies
  • Build supportive and accessible learning

Why it Matters
This workshop will provide practical strategies and insights to:

  • Foster inclusion and student success
  • Improve communication and engagement in the classroom
  • Strengthen RIT’s commitment to equity and accessibility
