This internally funded grant program was established with a focus on expanding research, scholarship, and collaboration across the RIT campuses. The 2024 Call for Proposals resulted in 23 submissions from 75 PI and co-PI faculty with representation from all of RIT’s global campuses and faculty from all of the RIT colleges. Preference was given to projects focused on interdisciplinary research with particular emphasis on the intersection of technology, art, and design with connections to AI, sustainability, data science, and cybersecurity.
