Undergraduate Research Scholar Graduation Recognition - Registration Application

The Office of the Vice President for Research is sponsoring a graduation recognition for our undergraduate research students who fulfill the eligibility requirements to be named an undergraduate research scholar. Deadline for submission is April 15, 2024.

The eligibility requirements to be named an undergraduate research scholar are: Two semesters of research with a RIT mentor, Demonstration of public dissemination of their research, Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

If you have met the eligibility, the following information will be required with your submission:

-Identify two semesters of research and the RIT research mentor(s); You will be able to enter a different research mentor per semester, if applicable

-Provide letter of recommendation from a research mentor

-Attach a copy of your publication or research presentation (Research presentations from attending external conferences or the RIT Undergraduate Research Symposium fulfills the public dissemination of your research requirement; Course work presentations do not fulfill this requirement)

-Attach a 1 page written description of the research; What you have done throughout your research and how you feel it benefited your research experiences

-Enter your current cumulative GPA.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2024 Convocation and Commencement ceremonies.
