The Music Scene as Cinematic Figure, a talk by Will Straw, James McGill Professor of Urban Media Studies, Department of Art History and Communication Studies, McGill University, Canada.How do films (both documentary and fiction) represent the fluidity of music scenes? Are there particular stylistic figures which have served to capture the music scene as a particular kind of social phenomenon?
