Women in Physics and Astronomy Introductory Meeting
Women in Physics and Astronomy (WiPA) introductory meeting is for anyone who's interested or would simply like to express support. This includes undergrad and grad students, faculty, and staff of all genders. We'll do introductions and vote on some events for this semester. These events range from professional development to more casual social events. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment in our physics department, as well as a sense of community that underrepresented students in particular may be lacking. I know that it's been especially hard on underclassmen to form their own networks here (let alone to feel like you're a part of one) with so much being online. Hopefully this group, as well as other things like SPS and the (virtual?) PAC will help you to form connections and make your RIT experience better during difficult times.
