Youth Mental Health First Aid
RIT's visual arts-all grades MST program presents a conversation about mental health with local school counselor Mark Fish, who works in the Fairport Central School District.
The talk is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Booth Hall, room A410. Interpreting services can be requested through myaccess.rit.edu. The event is open to the entire College of Art and Design community.
Learn about common mental health challenges for youth and a five-step action plan to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics covered include the prevalence of mental health disorders, recognizing symptoms of mental health and the spectrum of interventions that are available to support our youth.
