WXXI reports on a potential partnership between the city of Rochester and RIT to study data related to shootings.

Nine College of Liberal Arts (CLA) alumni were recognized last week at an award ceremony held at RIT’s Tait Preserve.

A team of faculty from Rochester Institute of Technology’s Center for Public Safety Initiatives is spearheading a new initiative to address community trauma and health inequity caused by gun violence. Jordan Health will serve as the central hub and is working with the United Way Systems Integration Project to coordinate services through other community partners.

Diverse subjects involving safety and autonomous automobiles, Black women in computing, and Italian cinema are just some of the winning entries for this year’s student writing awards, sponsored by RIT’s College of Liberal Arts.

Christopher Schreck, chair of the criminal justice department in the College of Liberal Arts, was honored with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences’ (ACJS) 2021 Bruce Smith Sr. Award.
