Assistant professor nominated for Drama Desk Award
Josh Thorson, assistant professor in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences, has been nominated for a 2019 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Projection Design for the Broadway revival of Oklahoma!, seen earlier this season at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, N.Y. The Drama Desk is an organization of writers, editors, publishers and broadcasters covering theater in New York City. The awards are one of the few major theater honors for which productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway compete against each other in the same categories.

Students from RIT’s global campuses will be making the trek to the U.S. for this year’s Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival.
