Manuela Campanelli, left, Distinguished Professor of Astrophysics and founding director of the Center for Computational Relativity and Gravitation, was recognized as the John Vorous Endowed Professor at a ceremony on Jan. 28. Vorous, right, was a former teacher of RIT alumnus Austin McChord ’09 (bioinformatics). McChord created four endowed professorships to honor his grade school teachers.
