Carichino and Supple present at SIAM conference
Lucia Carichino, assistant professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and Riley Supple, a mathematical modeling Ph.D. candidate, presented at the 2025 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics Annual Meeting in Montreal. Carichino presented “Mathematical Modeling of Contact Lenses: From Drug Delivery to Ocular Reshaping,” and Supple presented the poster “A Mathematical Model of Ocular Tissue Deformation due to Contact Lens Wear that Accounts for Intraocular Pressure.” The poster contained research co-advised by Carichino and Kara Maki, professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. The presented work has been partially supported by the National Science Foundation.
