Donors to be Honored at RIT’s Annual Celebration of Scholarship, April 15
Rochester Institute of Technology will salute individuals and organizations that provide financial support to deserving students during the seventh annual Celebration of Scholarship. The event is 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, at the RIT Inn and Conference Center, 5257 West Henrietta Road.
Celebration of Scholarship provides an opportunity to recognize the generosity of scholarship donors, but it also gives the donors a chance to meet the students they support and to learn about their academic pursuits. More than 100 scholarship donors are expected to attend.
“Reach for the Stars” is the theme of the annual celebration. This year, Joel Kastner, associate professor in RIT’s Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, will set the stage with a presentation on the galaxies and other celestial matters. Guests will enjoy a hands-on opportunity to learn about the latest in telescopes and related technology.
