Imagine RIT exhibit highlight: SoundPainter
Presenter: Brooks Eastman, fourth-year new media design and imaging major
Description: This program interprets sound going into a microphone as a particular color, shape or size to “paint” a picture on a screen.
How the exhibit is creative and/or innovative: SoundPainter uses a voice-recognition system to create visual effects.
Exhibit experience for visitors: Visitors will be given a microphone and asked to make funny noises and see what happens. When finished they can have their creation e-mailed to them as a keepsake.
