Important Update from the Title IX Office

The Title IX Office Staff is working remotely until further notice.

You may continue to file a report online, or contact the Title IX Office by email, or phone (585) 475-7158. If you have an emergency please contact RIT Public Safety at 585-475-3333 or text 585-205-8333.

The Title IX Office, along with the Center for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, the Department of Public Safety, Human Resources, and all other departments involved in resolving cases of sex discrimination, including Title IX, are working throughout the semester. To practice social distancing, there will be no in-person meetings or interviews related to investigations, and there will be no in-person hearings. However, Public Safety, the Title IX Office, the Center for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, and Human Resources will continue to conduct meetings, interviews and hearings through video-conferencing, or other alternative methods. We ask that you work with us to keep lines of communication open.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact any member of the Title IX Office by email and we will respond within 48 hours. Similarly, if you file a complaint online you will receive a response within 24 hours. Please understand that all cases are important to us. We know that the temporary changes we are all working through may cause delays. We understand that any delays may be frustrating. With that in mind, we are doing all we can to work through our process despite the changes on campus.

Keep in mind that all RIT policies are applicable in the online environment. Prohibited behaviors defined in policies C06. Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and Harassment and D.19 Student Gender-Based and Sexual Misconduct must be avoided in the online work and learning spaces, and reported violations in these spaces will be investigated.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Your health is important to us. Please take good care of yourself.
