"Lean Thinking" Headlines Performance Improvement Conference

To improve performance, lean thinking must go beyond theory—it must be put into practice.

The Rochester Chapter 44 of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IEE) will hold the 31st Annual Performance Improvement Conference: Lean Thinking—Beyond Theory and Deep Into Practice, April 2?6, at the Rochester Marriott Thruway.

Co-sponsoring the conference are the Center for Excellence in Lean Enterprise at Rochester Institute of Technology and High Technology of Rochester (HTR).

The Center for Excellence in Lean Technology sponsors the seven workshops held on Tuesday, April 2. Each three-hour workshop is held twice during the day. Vic Chance, of Operations Worldwide, presents the keynote address on April 2 on the ground rules for getting lean effectively and quickly while avoiding some common failures.
