Goodbye, Goodbuy! builds a decade of sustainability habits
Since the start of the program, Goodbye, Goodbuy! has saved over 100 tons of goods from landfills. During the spring semester move-out, donated items are collected and stored to be offered at thrift store prices at the annual sale for incoming students in the fall.

Cybersecurity student Emery Rios awarded Norman Miles academic excellence award
Emery Rios, a combined accelerated cybersecurity BS/MS student, was selected for the Norman A. Miles Award for Academic Excellence in Study for the 2025-2026 academic year. The award is given to a student who began their studies as a first-year student at RIT and is entering their final year of undergraduate study with the highest grade point average across the university.

RIT offers occupational therapy clinical doctorate degree in 2026
An entry-level clinical doctorate in occupational therapy will launch in June 2026. The program, which will focus on innovative interventions and adaptive devices that extend patients’ functional skills, represents the university’s first clinical doctorate degree.
