NTID Dyer Arts Center Hosts “Signs of Nature” and “Familiar Encounters”

Susan Dupor is a deaf artist and teacher at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf who is an alumna of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Phoebe Cate Deutsch and Amita Lathigra are hearing students attending RIT’s School for American Crafts.

The NTID Dyer Arts Center at RIT is hosting two exhibitions of their work this spring. “The Signs of Nature, The Nature of Signs; Paintings and Prints by Susan Dupor,” will be on view from March 15 through April 29, with an artist’s reception scheduled from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22.

The gallery will also feature “Familiar Encounters, Ceramics by Phoebe Cate Deutsch and Metalwork by Amita Lathigra,” from March 15 through April 12, with an artist’s reception scheduled from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31.

NTID Dyer Arts Center, located on the RIT campus in the Lyndon Baines Johnson Building, is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 475-6855 or email rkb6548@rit.edu.
