Reminder: Accommodation process for faculty/staff at higher risk of developing COVID-19
Faculty and staff who have a higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19 infection, or who live with individuals at higher risk, may request an accommodation to perform the essential functions of their job, by completing the COVID-19 Accommodation Request form. The current list of higher risk conditions includes:
- Older adults (age 65 and older)
- Chronic Kidney disease
- COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
- Immunocompromised state (weakened immune system) from solid organ transplant
- Obesity (body mass index of 30 or higher)
- Serious heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
- Sickle cell disease
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus
As new information becomes available, the Centers for Disease Control and RIT will update this list.
