Richard Sands Elected to RIT’s Board of Trustees
After joining Constellation Brands in 1979, Sands was promoted to president and chief operating officer seven years later. With his appointment as CEO in 1993, he assumed management of Constellation Brands’ domestic and worldwide operations. Sands is also chairman of the Norman Howard School Foundation, an organization which promotes early intervention for children with learning disabilities.
A resident of Brighton, N.Y., Sands holds a B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Vermont and earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of North Carolina.
