RIT Again Named Among The Princeton Review’s “Most Connected Campuses”

Rochester Institute of Technology is among the nation’s “Most Connected Campuses,” according to the third annual survey conducted by The Princeton Review. The survey, which highlights 25 colleges and universities offering the most cutting edge technology, is available online at www.forbes.com/connected.

To identify the schools on the list, The Princeton Review considered the breadth of the computer science curriculum; the sophistication of campus technology, including streaming media of classes and extracurricular offerings; availability of school-owned digital cameras and equipment for student use; wireless Internet access on campus; and support for handheld computing.

In its analysis of RIT, The Princeton Review states, “Come to the Rochester Institute of Technology for what students call ‘a great technical education with a side of liberal arts and almost anything else that you desire.’ The school ‘utilizes the newest and most advanced technologies,’ thanks to sponsorships and partnerships with ‘corporate giants like Xerox, Kodak, and Bausch & Lomb.’”

This is the second consecutive year that RIT has been named among the “Most Connected Campuses.” Other universities highlighted in the survey include Carnegie Mellon University, Cornell University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and University of Pennsylvania.
