RIT Dubai team competes in programming contest
A team of RIT Dubai students competed in the IEEE Xtreme 24-hour programming contest Oct. 24-25. The three-student team, who also led RIT Dubai’s newly formed programming club Alpha Coding, came in first out of 18 teams in the United Arab Emirates and No. 727 out of 4,557 teams that participated worldwide. The team was composed of Manal Ifran Khalil, a third-year computing and information technologies student; Syed Izhan Hyder, a second-year computing security student; and team leader Noman Sheikh, a second-year computing security student.
